“Thruxton was a really good weekend I was confident from the start because I rode well there on my 125 last year.
Sunday morning I got up and it looked like we were going to have a good dry day and I was 3rd fastest in free practice which I was really pleased with and I new that I could go a bit faster.
Qualifying was really good too, I felt really confident on the bike and felt good in myself. I was 2nd fastest until the last few minutes, but third was good and I was really pleased with this.
In the race I got off to an ok start but ran wide at the first corner. I was lying 4th and trying to hang onto the front 3 but the bike was moving about all over the place and I think my front suspension was too hard because we adjusted this just before I went out for the race. Then I got into a battle with Robbie Brown and it looked like we were closing on the front 3 but there were only about 2 laps left in the end and Robbie got the better of me so I ended up 5th. This I was pleased with because it was another finish and I got some good points. It was an improvement from last time. I would like to build on this and try and stay consistently up there in the top 5.”
