Rushing from Donnington Saturday night down to Lydden Circuit in Kent for James to have a blast round on his R6 Yamaha, very kindly supplied by David Lever / Salvation Racing for the purpose of James being able to get some practice on.
James went out for practice and although damp and obviously only his third outing on the R6 – James felt his way round Lydden with some impressive times for his first time out.
The first race – The Lord of Lydden Race – we knew would be a tough one – James made it look easy. Competing against the bigger and more powerful bikes, James started right at the back of the field of riders. Looking smooth and riding hard James made his way through the pack to finish 9 th in the first race. And 10 th in the second race. He was really pleased with this as his lap times came down each time he rode. In the final race James was actually lapping faster than the guy that finished in 3 rd.
Both the boys would like to thank everyone as usual for all your help and support – coming towards the end of the season they know that it would not have possible with out it.
Danny is out in Spain at the moment practicing and training towards his race at Albercete on Sunday 9 th October – he will now complete his year in Spain with the final rounds at Valencia on 20 th November and Jerez on the 27 th November.
James is looking for more practice time on his R6 and will be competing at the MRO at Brands Hatch on 15 th and 16 th October.
Once again we are really grateful to all of you for making this year possible. |
