| Friday – Practice – James went out and feeling a bit demoralised by it all but gave it his best shot. The bike seemed a little better but was still not right.
Saturday – Qualifying – James went out and gave it his best shot, trying all sorts, late breaking, flat out corners but still felt that he just wasn’t getting the best from his bike. James managed to qualify 20 th which wasn’t bad but he still new that if the bike felt right he could do better.
Sunday – Race day – Still feeling a little demoralised James went out and gave it his best shot. Battling away with a group of riders he domineered them in the end and got in front of the group to finish a creditable 19 th . Still feeling that there was something wrong with the bike. We decided to give the next two rounds a miss and stripped the bike down. Finding a split in the piston and a few other bits and pieces we felt now’s the time to stop and look. |
