Saturday 10 th April – still nursing a badly bruised arm - warm up was wet and so very difficult to set the bike up but James went round to make sure his arm was not too painful and get the feel of the track etc.
Sunday 11 th April – Qualifying, we had not had time to set up the bike properly due to the wet weather on the Saturday warm out. James went out and rode well but the bike seemed to be underpowered and slow, James qualified 25 th in this session. The next session was even tougher for him having still not solved the problem with the bike James went out and rode his hardest the results being worst then before, it looked like James was to start from the back of the grid again.
Monday 12 thApril Race Day – James started from the back of the grid and getting a bad start meant he had his work cut out. After one lap James had overtaken at least ten riders and was moving forward, battling with a group of riders and riding well you could see the bike was still underpowered along the straights. James finished 21 st overall out of 38 riders, not bad for his second outing with the BSB boys but he knows he can do better, with the bike sorted and bruised arm back to normal! - Next round Snetterton in two weeks time. |
