Friday- Free practice – Danny went out and everything seemed good he improved on his times at a steady rate throughout the day.

Saturday – Qualifying – D anny set of for his first qualifying session, making a few alterations to his suspension and running the bike in Danny was improving all the time. He finished the session 1 second faster than Friday and 4 th in his group putting him 8 th fastest overall out of the 65 riders competing.

2 nd Qualifying – The heat had increased, the weather was by now unbearably hot. Danny did not improve on his times this time out but neither did many of the other riders, it was just too hot. Danny finished 5 th in his group and 11 th overall, putting him on the 3 rd row for Sunday’s Race.

Race Day: - Everything felt fine in warm up. Danny started preparing himself for the race. Starting in 10 th / 3 rd row on the grid. He didn’t get off to a good start but was 13 th into the first corner, so he worked hard to catch up with the group of riders in front. These riders were positioned from 4 th to 10 th. Danny began to make his way through. On the 7 th lap Danny made his way through to 9 th and moving in on 8 th position coming out of a corner to line up for the move the back end slid and then gripped and threw Danny off.

Danny however although disappointed in one sense was also extremely pleased with his weekend. He said “I now know I can run with them, I can’t wait for Catalunya.” Danny would like to thank everyone at the Moto GP Academy for the tremendous help and guidance they have all given him.

Meanwhile Danny will attending the BSB meetings getting valuable track time on the Friday and supporting his team mate Kev Coglan of UK1 Racing and of course his brother James.
