Confidence building theory works.
After his big off at Thruxton there was some re-setting for the bike and confidence building for Danny but it all worked out good for him. He started the weekend with set up problems on his bike with which his UK1 team worked hard to correct and adjust for Danny. All weekend Danny’s times were coming further and further down. Unfortunately he was just 0.003 seconds off qualifying but due to an injured rider dropping out Danny was able to ride. Starting 36 th on the grid Danny had a good start and progressed through the race picking other riders off one by one and keeping his riding smooth and consistent. Danny managed to finish 17 th overall and really enjoyed his ride. “I feel much better now” he grinned.
Danny is now really looking forward to flying out to Spain on Tuesday 26 th April to do some training with the Moto GP Academy and prepare for his first race at Albercete on 8 th May. |
