Friday Practice:
Danny went out for his first practice and wasn’t happy with his times as he did not improve from the previous weeks practice times.
With a slight alteration to his bike Danny went out for his second practice and improved on his time by 1 tenth of a second – still an improvement.
Saturday Qualifying:
The first qualifying Danny felt a little better as he improved on his time once again but still felt that he was not riding to the best of his ability.
Second qualifying – with the weather getting hotter and hotter – Danny improved on his time again but was still disappointed with himself. He qualified 19 th overall putting him on the fifth row of the grid.
Sunday – Race
Going out for warm up Danny rode smoothly, preparing himself for the race and concentrating on his lines and positioning of the bike.
Race:
Danny started from 5 th row of the grid – getting a good start riding up the inside of quite a few riders in front he got blocked in on the first corner. On the first lap Danny had moved into 15 th place and getting into a battle with riders positioned from 8 th down to 12 th Danny started to make his move.
Each lap he was moving closer and closer to the front of the group until he finally made it to the front. Danny finished a brilliant 8 th position and was pleased with his lap times.
Danny said “I just felt very happy on the bike and just kept fighting”
Danny would like to thank everyone for their support, all his mechanics, everyone in the GP Academy especially Alberto.
Danny is looking forward to his next outing at Albercete. |
