Danny went out on the Friday Practice and although it was wet enjoyed the practice session and riding around Donnington – one circuit that Danny has always wanted to ride.

Now because Danny has always wanted to ride at Donnington he could not pass up on the offer of the UK1 Team asking him if he would like to have a ride round in qualifying on Saturday. The weather was dry with perfect conditions so Danny was very excited at the prospect of getting to know, this one of his favourite circuits, a little better.

Danny rode with a love in his heart for this a great British Circuit. He managed to qualify 10 th in the first session, which pleased him and the team alike. Just seeing him grinning from ear to ear was brilliant. So pushing his cheekiness a little further he went out for the second session.

Danny was lying in a steady 8 th / 9 th position when his team board came out which said that he only had a few more laps to get in, so he did. In true style to Danny his head went down and he rode with joy, putting him 4 th on the grid with a time that was very close to the top 3. Unfortunately due to not running with all the weight on his bike as specified by the BSB rules Danny’s team manager Kevin Newton pulled Danny out of the meeting, knowing that he would not meet the specified weight.

Danny would like to apologise to all the organisers of the BSB but he said “Being the last time of riding in the UK due to the fact that I will be racing at Albercete Brands Hatch weekend, I just wanted to run with the British Lads and ride my favourite British Circuit, it was great”, and of course Danny’s broad cheeky grin said it all.
